Community Input Sought on VA Planning

Stakeholders have been invited to participate in the West Los Angeles VA Master Plan Process , which is described by the VA as “a community-based planning process aimed at combating homelessnesss through transforming the VA West Los Angeles Campus into a welcoming and sustainable community for Veterans. The Master Plan is a key component of the VA’s Homelessness Strategy and Action Plan for Greater Los Angeles, which is committed to ending homelessness in 2015 and beyond.”  Of critical importance to our community, the plan will describe how the physical elements of the campus can be developed for housing, recreational and healthcare services for Veterans.

Among events planned to allow stakeholders to provide suggestions and opinions, and to learn about the progress of the Plan, are weekly design open houses and community workshop open houses.  Information about these events, as well as an overview of the VA Planning Process, is available on-line at www.HelpHouseLAVets.com.  Alternatively, call or text HELP to (310) 879-5773 or email hello@helphouselavets.com
