- 2016 Homeless Count in Westwood: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council shall “Opt-In” to co-sponsor the 2016 Greater Los Angeles Point-in-Time Homeless Count in Westwood, organized by the Los Angeles Homeless Service Agency (LAHSA) on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in partnership with the Westwood Neighborhood Council and Westwood Presbyterian Church – Steve Sann
- Homeless Task Force: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council shall reestablish its Ad-Hoc Homeless Task Force, in partnership with other interested stakeholder, homeowner, business, faith-based, UCLA, student, social welfare, and government organizations in the Westwood community to address the growing issue of homelessness in the Westwood community. – John Heidt
- Westwood BID-proposed LADOT “People Street” project to close off north block of Broxton Avenue to vehicular traffic to create a “Broxton Ave. Plaza”: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council opposes the closure of Broxton Avenue to vehicular traffic, between Weyburn Avenue and the alley south of Le Conte Avenue, to create a “Broxton Ave. Plaza” as currently proposed by the Westwood BID due to lack of community outreach to the Westwood Community Council and other stakeholder groups, loss of 10 parking spaces, impaired access for businesses and customers, reduced access to the Broxton Garage, lack of a traffic study, inadequate funding, absence of a budget and programming plan, and the potential for increased loitering by homeless, and asks that any future effort to create a pedestrian plaza in Westwood Village involve extensive public outreach and consultation, including the Westwood Community Council and other stakeholder groups, at the earliest stages of the planning process, and explore possible alternative sites. – Steve Sann
- 1140 Gayley Avenue Appeal: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council supports the appeal by the Holmby-Westwood Property Owners Association of the Zoning Administrator’s determination dated October 20, 2015 regarding the Simms Project (“Gayley + Lindbrook”). – Sandy Brown
- 1022 Gayley Avenue Appeal: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council supports the appeal by the Holmby-Westwood Property Owners Association of the Building and Safety Department determination pertaining to required off-site parking for the Simms Project (“Gayley + Lindbrook”). – Sandy Brown

In accordance with its Bylaws, the Westwood Community Council (WCC) shall provide an opportunity in open meetings for the public to address items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter and jurisdiction of the WCC. Individual testimony within the Public Comment period shall be limited to two (2) minutes per person and up to ten (10) minutes per subject. However, the WCC Chair has the discretion to modify the time allotted on each subject, to each speaker, and the number of speakers per subject. Items may be called in any order at the discretion of the WCC Chair. EVERY PERSON WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD DURING THE MEETING MUST COMPLETE A SPEAKER’S CARD AND SUBMIT IT TO THE CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL. The agenda is posted for public review at the Westwood Branch Public Library, 1246 Glendon Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024, and at http://www.westwoodcommunitycouncil.org online. Belmont Village Westwood provides free covered self-parking in its underground garage, accessed from the driveway at 10475 Wilshire Boulevard, and also is accessible via public transportation by all bus lines serving Wilshire Boulevard. Belmont Village Westwood, including its Town Hall Community Room, is an ADA accessible facility.
