  2. Welcoming and Seating of new Alternate Rep. for Westwood Senior Living/Retirement/ Assisted Living Residential Stakeholders: Allison Marty, Executive Director, The Watermark at Westwood Village
  3. Motion on WVIA proposal to eliminate and/or reduce Code-required parking requirements in Westwood: Resolved that the Westwood Community Council opposes the recommendation of the Parking Access, and Transportation Committee of the Westwood Village Improvement Association (BID) “to eliminate the parking requirements for changes of use, to revise the parking requirements for new developments to 1 space per 1,000 square feet of floor area, and to eliminate Section 9E of the Westwood Village Specific Plan that calls for Replacement Parking requirements.” – Steve Sann
  4. WRAC Motion on Reserved Seating at City Council hearings for Neighborhood and Community Council Representatives (Refers to City Council file 15-0524): Resolved that, “in the interest of ensuring that local constituencies represented by Neighborhood and Community Councils are heard, the Westwood Community Council requests that seating be reserved at City departmental hearings, commission meetings, and Council meetings for members of Neighborhood and Community Councils. The Westwood Community Council further requests that the City Council introduces a motion to amend the Administrative Code (Section 22.819) to reflect this policy.” – Steve Sann
  5. Motion to Amend WCC Bylaws to Increase Student Seats on WCC Board: “Whereas the On-Campus Housing Coalition represents approximately 13,000 Westwood residents; and Whereas the Weyburn & Hilgard Residents Association represents approximately 2,000 residents; and Whereas the UCLA Graduate Students Association and Undergraduate Students Association represents approximately 44,000; and Whereas sharing just one voting and one alternate seat between all of these constituencies constitutes inadequate representation given the proportion of the Westwood Community that these stakeholders comprise:

Therefore be it resolved that the Westwood Community Council amend its bylaws to provide for separate voting and alternate seats for UCLA’s Graduate Students Association, Undergraduate Students Association, On Campus Housing Council and Weyburn & Hilgard Resident’s Association.” – Cameron Keller

In accordance with its Bylaws, the Westwood Community Council (WCC) shall provide an opportunity in open meetings for the public to address items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter and jurisdiction of the WCC.  Individual testimony within the Public Comment period shall be limited to two (2) minutes per person and up to ten (10) minutes per subject.  However, the WCC Chair has the discretion to modify the time allotted on each subject, to each speaker, and the number of speakers per subject.  Items may be called in any order at the discretion of the WCC Chair.  EVERY PERSON WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD DURING THE MEETING MUST COMPLETE A SPEAKER’S CARD AND SUBMIT IT TO THE CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL.  The agenda is posted for public review at the Westwood Branch Public Library, 1246 Glendon Avenue, Los Angeles, CA  90024, and at http://www.westwoodcommunitycouncil.org online.  Belmont Village Westwood provides free covered self-parking in its underground garage, accessed from the driveway at 10475 Wilshire Boulevard, and also is accessible via public transportation by all bus lines serving Wilshire Boulevard.  Belmont Village Westwood, including its Town Hall Community Room, is an ADA accessible facility.
