WESTWOOD COMMUNITY COUNCIL 2022 MEETING SCHEDULE

The Westwood Community Council Board (WCC) regularly meets on the THIRD TUESDAY every other month beginning in January of each year, at 7:00 p.m. The 2022 meeting schedule is:

• Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 7:00 p.m. – (Meeting cancelled due to Omicron surge.)
• Tuesday, March 29, 2022, 6:00 p.m.* – In-Person Special Meeting (*Special date and time.) • Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 7:00 p.m.

Resuming in March 2022, and unless otherwise noticed, the Westwood Community Council meets at:

Belmont Village Westwood (Senior Living)
Town Hall community room (ground floor)
10475 Wilshire Boulevard (east of Warner Avenue) Los Angeles, CA 90024

Belmont Village Westwood is located next to Westwood United Methodist Church (east of Warner Avenue). Free self-parking is available in the Belmont garage, accessed from Wilshire Boulevard. Enter the driveway, proceed under the overhang, and turn right into the garage. Park on levels P2, P3, or P4 and take the elevator or stairs located near the southwest corner of the garage up to the first floor. Town Hall is located on the first floor directly across the elevator, off the main lobby. Belmont also can be reached by all bus lines serving Wilshire Boulevard, including Metro Line 20 and Metro Rapid Line 720 (one and one-half blocks west of the Beverly Glen stop). Bicycle parking is available in the valet area. Belmont Village is a fully ADA accessible facility.

COVID-19 Protocols at Belmont Village Westwood: As the Westwood Community Council resumes in-person meetings beginning March 2022, in consideration of Belmont’s sensitive population, all persons entering Belmont for the first time must check into a lobby kiosk, type in their first and last name, scan vaccination card with dates of full vaccination including booster (if eligible), and take a forehead temperature check. Kiosk will photograph front and back of vaccination card. Upon approval of photos (for legibility), name will be added to Belmont’s pre-approved guest list. On subsequent visits only an instant temperature check will be required. All unvaccinated persons may conduct a self-administered on-site COVID-19 rapid test, using either a rapid test kit they provide and self-administer on-site, or they may purchase a rapid test kit from Belmont ($15 fee, cash or check only) and self-administer on-site, with results given in 5-10 minutes. Upon a negative rapid test and forehead temperature check, guests will be admitted. In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, Belmont Village, as a healthcare facility, requires face masks to be worn by all persons at all times while inside the facility, unless eating or drinking.

 

WCC Board meeting agendas are posted for public review at the Westwood Branch Public Library, 1246 Glendon Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024, and at http://www.westwoodcommunitycouncil.org online. WCC Bylaws also provide that Special Meetings may be called by any two officers or by a majority of all Voting Members, by giving written notice at least 24 hours in advance, to address any urgent business.

In accordance with its Bylaws, the Westwood Community Council shall provide an opportunity in open meetings for members of the public to address agenda items and non-agenda items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter and jurisdiction of the WCC. Individual testimony within the Public Comment period shall be limited to two (2) minutes per person and up to ten (10) minutes per subject. However, the WCC Chair has the discretion to modify the time allotted on each subject, to each speaker, and the number of speakers per subject. Items may be called in any order, at the discretion of the Chair. EVERY PERSON WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD DURING THE MEETING MUST COMPLETE A SPEAKER’S REQUEST CARD AND SUBMIT IT TO THE CHAIR PRIOR TO THE WCC’S CONSIDERATION OF THAT ITEM.

The WCC Executive Committee is scheduled to meet on the THIRD TUESDAY of the month, in between WCC Board meetings, whenever there is business to transact. The meeting location for the Executive Committee is
